Raj Thackeray watches 30 minutes of Sarkar Raaj

The plot as they say thickens. Raj Thackeray, whose certain politically-laden remarks on Amitabh Bachchan sparked off parochial unrest in Mumbai, met up with Ram Gopal Varma on Tuesday and even watched a part of the film.
Says a source close to Ram Gopal Varma, "Raj and Ramu have been friends for some time now. In fact, when Sarkar based on Bal Tackeray's life was made it was Raj who co-ordinated between Ramu and the Shiv Sena supremo. Raj is very keenly interested movies. So when after chatting up, Ramu asked Raj if he wanted to watch some of Sarkar Raaj, Raj readily agreed. He watched about thirty minutes of the film and apparently loved it."
Raj Thackeray was amused to see one of the actors in Sarkar Raaj resembled him.
Says the source, "Yes, one of the actors does resemble Raj. But his role is not modeled on Raj Thackeray."
