Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who made AANKHEN and WAQT with Bachchan Sr. in pivotal roles, finds himself in a dilemma. He was planning his third film with the veteran actor, but the superstar’s illness threw a spanner. “After you’ve worked with the best [Bachchan], you really can’t look elsewhere. It becomes a habit, you want to work with him again and again,” Shah sounds emotional.
So what is he planning next? “Knowing that Mr. Bachchan is unwell and has pending commitments to fulfill, it would be wrong on my part to approach him with an altogether fresh project. Honestly, I am still undecided about my forthcoming film,” Shah reveals.
Whom is he planning to cast in his new venture? “Believe me, I am clueless,” he reveals, “The question of casting arises only when you’re ready with the script. The fact is, I am not ready yet.” What Shah does confirm is that his new project would roll in mid-2006.
