5-feet sand sculpture of Big B at Konark beach

It goes without saying that Amitabh Bachchan has one of the largest celebrity fan-following amongst the world. The magnitude of prayers that has gone for his speedy recovery from his current ailment just corroborates this fact.
One small example of his fan-following comes from a globally acclaimed artist Sudarsan Pattnaik who is known for creating sculptures in sand. To pray for the speedy recovery for his favorite superstar, Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture of Amitabh Bachchan at the Konark beach close to the Sun Temple. Legend has it that prayers offered at this temple at always answered. Pattnaik worked for three whole hours to carve the five-foot sculpture that required around five truckloads of sand.
With such dedicated well-wishers Big B should be back on foot very soon.
