First Dharam, now Sunny in ‘Teesri Aankh’ Click here to add this article to My Clips

By Taran Adarsh, August 30, 2005 - 09:00 IST

Years ago, Dharmendra had acted in a film called TEESRI AANKH. And now son Sunny Deol has just wrapped up the shooting of a film called TEESRI AANKH – THE HIDDEN CAMERA. Co-starring Amisha Patel, the film, directed by Harry Baweja, is slated for November 18 release.

Till some time back, Harry hadn’t found an appropriate title for his film. “But TEESRI AANKH – THE HIDDEN CAMERA suits the story to the T,” the film-maker tells me. Harry has added the catchline [THE HIDDEN CAMERA] with TEESRI AANKH to [i] Differentiate from the earlier film and [ii] The camera is almost akin to a character in the film.

Meanwhile, Harry isn’t selling the film as a Sunny Deol starrer to his distributors. “Sunny features in a guest role [20 days work] in the film, a fact I am including in my contracts with the distributors. I don’t want them [distributors] to feel cheated when they watch the film finally. Sunny does feature in bits and spurts in the first half of TEESRI AANKH – THE HIDDEN CAMERA, but is present throughout the post-interval portions of the film,” Harry enlightens me.

Such honesty is rare!
