Over all, I thought this movie was awesome. The cast, the music, and the sets were all appealing. Madhuri is a fabulous actress but I think the focus in this movie was on her dancing, hence the title "Aaja Nachle." There really wasn't a huge conflict in this film even though it seemed like Akshay Khanna was the bad guy, when in reality he didn't put up too much of a fight when it came to tearing down Ajanta. Also, it's hard to tell where Madhuri (Dia in the movie) gets all the money to make the production look so lavish and where did all the extra back up dancers suddenly appear from? All questions aside, this movie was a strictly non-thinking movie. If you go in with no intention of thinking out things or questioning aspects of the movie, you'll be sure to love it. Even otherwise, I personally loved the music and the finale...I recommend seeing this movie after a long week (when you don't plan on thinking) or if you just want to go for entertainment and a few laughs. It is a Yash Raj Film after all, so give it a watch!
What I liked about the movie:
I liked Madhuri Dixit of course since it was her comeback movie. I also thoroughly enjoyed the scenes between Konkona and Kunal. They were hilarious and cute in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and were equally cute and hilarious in this movie.
What I didn't like about the movie:
I didn't like the plot very much. I think it was a good IDEA but in reality the storyline was not very strong since the focus was on music, dance, and the glamour of it all, since it is a Yash Raj Film. I feel like it could have been better developed because some parts didn't make sense.
