I have to say, at first I thought this was going to be another Dhoom. But I realized that though the directors of this movie were trying to take the same appoach with 'Race' in terms of modernizing the way we look at a movie, the plots and twists in this movie were a new approach to cinema an something we aren't really used to seeing.
What I liked about the movie:
I have to give props to the directors for making such a creative film, nicely fabricating a suspense thriller. However, I feel as if they got too carried away with it and therefore lost a few point for me. To the point the suspense in the movie was legit, but then anybody in their right mind would know not to believe anything untill the last 20 mins of the movie...
What I didn't like about the movie:
Acting Wise, the women had just one role, which was to look pretty and compete in who can wear the shortest dress ever, and show the most skin ever. Really tho? I have a huge problem when it comes to how women are potrayed in our movies these days, most of them. I feel like it will back fire on our society as a whole if we just put women in movies for shock,sex factor and that alone. I dont argue that our women are beautiful but they are beyond that. They have a mind of their own and dont necessarily have to resolve to sex or being that temptation in order to get things our way. And I'm not subjecting such criticism to this film alone, majority of the movies have roles for actress that are only playing mere objects or a guys arm candy. Yes, Katrina had has 5 back to back hits , good for her, I'm happy for her. But has any of them, really seen her ACTING? I mean really, there is a huge difference in acting roles for male leads and female leads, creating double standards.
