I remember first seeing the trailer for "Bum Bum Bole" and thinking, "What the hec is this movie going to be about?" I watched this movie and since I normally don't cry for movies, or anything for that matter, it was really funny because I seriously couldn't even keep myself from crying. This movie has no huge tragedies and isn't really about romance, it's just about a kid and dyslexia. Everyone can relate to this movie, whether you've struggled in school, had an over achieving old sibling, or parents that just don't seem to get it. Taare Zameen Par was really refreshing because you go into it with kind of low expectations since it's not a typical hero-heroine oriented film. You really do come out surprised and definitely enlightened. I learned a thing or two from this movie AND for parents and children, I think it will definitely bridge the relationship gap and make parents appreciate their kids. The movie was meaningful and worth the watch though I'm not sure if I'd see it over and over again as I like stereotypical light-hearted Hindi movies. I definitely recommend giving this movie a watch at least once.
What I liked about the movie:
I loved the concept of the whole movie. There didn't have to be a heroine and hero that were madly in love and the story was not a typical love story...in fact, it wasn't really a love story at all. I also liked Aamir Khan in this movie...he is known for doing a few movies that are meaningful and varied and this movie certainly proves he's extremely talented as an actor amd now as a producer and director.
What I didn't like about the movie:
I didn't NOT like anything from this movie. I thought it was brilliantly done and a novel approach especially since every kind of love story has been made into a movie.
