CHEENI KUM: an odd title? Yes CHEENI KUM: Taboo issue? Yes CHEENI KUM: Wonderful? YES!!! this is a fantastic movie. Everything about this movie works to its advantage. Whether it is Amitabh Bachchan, bitching at the chefs in his restaurant or Tabu's natural beauty. Director R. Balki has expertly weaved a masterpiece together. He does it soo well, that we do not even realise that the Amitabh - Tabu love story is actually a taboo issue. On top of that the humour is totally based on wit and none of the retarded crap you see in trashy films such as Chup Chup Ke or Phir Hera Pheri. Ilayaaraja's music is in sync with the film. It is soft on the ears, it beats that noise we have recently been hearing from Himesh Reshammiya. The cinematography is wonderful, capturing london well. The performances are brilliant. Amitabh Bachchan is dazzling as the sarcastic chef, his acting in the penultimate reels bypasses his work in K3G, Nishabd and Sholay. Tabu is a complete natural as always, she looks alluring and complements her new look with a nuanced performance. Zohra Seghal is humurous as the gym obsessed mother, she will bring a smile to you face. Swini Khara as Sexy, is probably the best new find this year so far after Jiah Kham, she is so much more confident and professional than those loser child artists with irritating high voices that one sees in bollywood films. Paresh Rawal is proficient.

What I liked about the movie:
The Humour, the performances R.Balki's direction.

What I didn't like about the movie:
nothing really

Would you recommend this movie to your friend: Yes
