Zayed Khan replaced Bobby Deol in Mission Istanbul. The movie was supposed to go on the floors on 1st August 2007 but because of Ramzan and Eid the date got pushed up with the result that Bobby Deol could no longer do the project. Unfortunately the movie required 60 days in Turkey at a stretch. Zayed Khan stepped in as a replacement.

Anu Malik has roped in Turkish pop icon Petek Dincoz to render a fusion song in Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istanbul. The words used in the song will be a mixture of Hindi and Turkish language.

Tusshar Kapoor was the initial choice for the main antagonist's part in Mission Istanbul. But the dates clashed with Ekta's film D Company which takes a light look at gangsterism, hence he opted out.

Vivek Oberoi, who shot for a solo song for Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istaanbul, personally auditioned and selected the six Russian dancers who gyrated with him in the track. The song in question being Apun Ke Saath Jo Ladega with Mika Singh rendering the track

Abhishek Bachchan shot for an item number for Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istaanbul sans any compensation. Abhishek danced with VJ Pia Trivedi for a pre-climax number where Zayed and Vivek are on a mission in a hotel to get some vital information
