  Trivia
The shooting of Mera Bharat Mahaan was stalled in Roopnagar, Chandigarh and the unit was forced to return to Mumbai. Reportedly the unit of the film was not only shooting without the necessary permissions, it also destroyed a lot of crops in the area, during the process of shooting. Apparently the unit also misbehaved with the local farmers of Roopnagar.

Salman Khan, Bobby Deol and the rest of the cast and crew of Mera Bharat Mahaan had to make do without toilets on location in upper Ladakh for 18 days. There were no bushes for cover either

The unit of Mera Bharat Mahan realised were caught up in a snowstorm while shooting in Ladakh. The crew was trying to figure out a safe place to spend the night in, when they spotted the world's highest army transit camp at a height of 16500 feet at More Plains. The army readily prepared food for the crew and also opened three dormitories and six rooms to accommodate them. As a token of thanks, Sohail Khan gifted a pair of branded sunglasses to the Wing Commander and also invited them to the film's sets.

The shooting of Samir Karnik's film Mera Bharat Mahan had to be stopped for almost one hour at Filmistan. Karnik, who was canning a song with Sunny Deol and foreign dancers, had to stop the shooting when members of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) raided the sets. There were at least twenty to twenty-five dancers on the set who were non-members of the Cine Dancers Association (CDA).
