Character Sketch

Sunny Deol as Kabir

Broad shoulders, tattooed arm, macho looks, black leather jacket and boots and a Harley Davidson bike… this is the legendary phantom that the young ones in Rok Sako To Rok Lo are in awe of. Nobody knows him, but everybody has heard of him. A man with a ‘history' that makes him the talk of the town! Every time they see this larger-than-life figure burning the roads on his mean- machine, there's a hushed silence. The spellbound youngsters have nicknamed him ‘phantom'. For to their awestruck eyes, he is no less than the famous comic-book hero – ‘the ghost who walks'- an icon they all crave to know. A loner, Kabir lives life in his own terms. His intense look'- an interesting contradiction of power and vulnerability; innocence and maturity - mesmerizes Dev, Suhana and their friends.

Yash Pandit as Dev

He is the natural leader of his gang of childhood friends from Bharti School. His indomitable spirit means he never ever gives in – especially to threats from Ranveer and his gang of brutes from the Valley High. Dev is smart and intelligent, but not much into studies. In fact, he's already flunked twice. Dev is a romantic dreamer who believes equally in the power of friendship and the magic of love.

Manjari Phadnis as Suhana

She is the sweetest thing to happen to Dev's group of friends. She's is Bhajji's sister but most unlike him. She is the youngest in the group but also the most mature. She's the only one in the group who has never failed any exam. Suhana is the eternal romantic who keeps dreaming of love, happiness and a sweet little dream home. A dream that she has shared only with her best friend, Dev. Her sweet smile wins over the enigmatic Kabir the Phantom, and gets him into her gang.

Caran Kapur as Ranveer

Rich and handsome, this Casanova studies in the posh Valley High and zooms around in his red convertible with his pals Ziggy and Tango. He is a school sports champion and loves flaunting the fact that he is unbeatable. Usually goes around town with PYTs from his school and otherwise. Arrogant and brash, Ranveer loves jeering at the Bharti boys, especially settling accounts with Dev and his friends.

Aparna Kumar as Sanjana

A ravishing beauty, Sanjana has just returned from the USA. Soon after she joined the Valley High for continuing her schooling, she has become the talk of the town. Always wears an attractive smile on her face and loves to be in her smart-short-hot dresses. She befriends Ranveer and joins his Valley High gang of Tango and Ziggy. Given her American upbringing, she is witty smart and carries a ‘don't mess with me' attitude. Heads turn at the Bharti School, the moment Sanjana enters.

Storyline

Rok Sako To Rok Lo is a celluloid extravaganza that celebrates the exuberance of youth as much as it evokes the nostalgia of being young again

Dev, Suhana, Ganguly, Bhajji, Venky and Rati are final year students at the modest Bharti School. The five are tied together in a timeless bond of friendship. Even as they indulge in the spirit of innocent adventure, they also have to find their way through a maze of trials and tribulations imposed on them by the establishment. They all live in a carefree illusory world where lofty ambitions and preparations for a secure tomorrow have little or no meaning. Driven by the invincible spirit that spells out - rok sako to rok lo , Dev and his friends are still no match against Ranveer, the undisputed champion from the elitist Valley High School. Ranveer has all the luxuries most youngsters his age crave for.

Intimidated by Ranveer' s muscle power and money power, Dev and his friends falter and fail. Their smiles disappear and gloom takes over.

Suddenly, from nowhere Kabir enters their life. Kabir, whom they refer to as Phantom, is a mysterious and seemingly unapproachable Harley Davidson biker who inspires awe in all.

An unexpected turn of events results in Kabir riding into Suhana' s life and eventually befriending her gang. A loner himself, Kabir is drawn towards these youngsters by the sheer magic of their innocent and unconditional friendship. With his unconventional wisdom, Kabir provokes Dev and his friends to stand up and face the challenges thrown at them.

Dev's faith in friendship and his friends are reinforced. He discovers his first love, his true love. The film climaxes into a grand operatic crescendo as Dev, Suhana and their friends, for the first time ever live their motto of- rok sako to rok lo - in its truest form

Rok Sako To Rok Lo is a rich canvas of colors, emotions and engaging characters, with fresh music and youthful melodies.
