1 of 5 people found this review helpful Akshay Kumar is a great entertainer, he puts his heart and soul into the character of Happy. His comic timing is as good as ever. Katrina Kaif does exactly what's required of her; she manages to look great in every scene. Must say, her smile has a very pleasing effect on the viewer...

1 of 5 people found this review helpful Singh is Kinng is packed with some hilarious scenes and dialouges and has the right ingredients for a masala entertainer. However, while the first half of the film is racy, eventful and funny; the second half does tend to stray and would have been better without some sequences. But those moments pass soon and you're involved yet again within no time.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Akshay, Akshay and Akshay: In building his body, the actor has started looking considerably older over the last one year. But he has amazing energy which was so essential for this role. Our stars who skip workouts or can't give up the weed habit need to take a few lessons from him...

1 of 3 people found this review helpful There isn't any real twist in the proceedings - despite Act Three deciding to inconsequentially spin out a rapping googly - and you can see most of the madness coming far before it actually shows up. The film deserves definite points for economy, though. Not just is Kinng timed well enough at just under two and a half hours, the emotional scenes aren't given much shrift...

Singh is Kinng has already started to crack under the weight of the layers of unreal situations. If the film keeps our interest, it is because of the occasional comic moments and mostly since Kumar is there to carry the burden of a poorly written script...

3 of 12 people found this review helpful I digest that a woman travels all the way from Australia to Cairo to study criminal law. I try my best not to question the umpteen inconsistent side-characters who change their view according to the need of that particular scene...

1 of 2 people found this review helpful To begin with 'Singh Is Kinng' relies heavily on the star value of Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif and not much has gone into the plot. No doubt that an Anees Bazmee flick has nothing much for the intellectuals and is usually loaded with some whacky lines and interactions between characters.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful It is just the second half of the film, which feels a little stretched. It could have been crisper. The first half moves at a very good pace.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful 'Singh is Kinng' is Akshay Kumar's show all the way. He is in every single frame apart from the first 10 minutes and is in top form throughout. For Akki fans, who have enjoyed his on screen antics, this movie is a real treat.

2 of 9 people found this review helpful The opening premise of Singh is Kinng faintly reminds of Sunny Deol's Jo Bole So Nihaal which too had a similar setting of a simpleton Sardar going foreign land on a mission.

0 of 2 people found this review helpful There are some films that you know are going to make it big at the box office even before you have seen the first frame. And Singh is Kinng was one of those movies. It had everything going for it – a hit actor, a hit actress, a director on a roll a producer who has had immense luck with his leading actor and actress.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful The first half breezes through without a hitch. Certain flaws crop up in the second; the loose editing of two songs, which appear abruptly between scenes and disappear as quickly, and a sub-plot, which could have been done without.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Singh is Kinng is zero logic mindless comedy treading David Dhawan path with lot of gags, slapstick and offbeat humor. Plus Akki once again shows his fear factor dare devil stunts.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Not that the film is any good, mind. This is the usual mishmash of jokes, off-kilter characters and ludicrous situations that Bazmee excels at, and it isn't even that funny, really.

1 of 2 people found this review helpful 'Singh Is Kinng' works primarily because of Akshay Kumar, the charming and charismatic superstar who bowls you over with his comic flair and his magnetic screen presence. It is hard to imagine any other actor playing the bumbling village bumpkin with such aplomb. Akshay's Happy Singh is a proud Sikh with a funny bone for self-deprecatory humour.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Technically the film is average. The camera work is as tipsy as the folks in the Talli Hua song. It remains inconsistent through the film – now there's a massive close-up, now everything on-screen is trembling, now it's panning.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Singh Is Kinng is thankfully harmless fare. It gets in the laughs, stays away from any below the belt jokes and manages to entertain without giving you a headache!

1 of 3 people found this review helpful The film is extremely fast paced initially and the sharp editing and picturesque cinematography keep you entertained. The songs 'Bhootni Ke', 'Jee Karda' and the title track, which all appear in the first half, are all foot-tapping.

2 of 5 people found this review helpful Singh Is Kinng is the kind of film whose screenplay is constructed almost entirely on the basis of silly coincidences and misunderstandings - airline boarding cards get exchanged by mistake and as a result passengers end up travelling to wrong destinations; dumbfounded Lucky Singh points accusingly at Happy Singh but his gang misinterprets that as Lucky picking his successor.
