Unfortunately for me I was proved wrong on all counts. Dhoom Dadakka is a so-called comedy with lewd remarks, double entendres and a barrage of obscene words and gestures. The director has literally clammed the film with sexual innuendos, not just in every scene but also in every shot and every single frame. Still this film may not evoke any response from the audiences.

The first half of this film is fast paced. And the laughs keep coming. Satish Kaushik, as the clueless detective, has some of the best lines. The other performances are loud and over the top, but it works.

WITH three big dadas of comedy -- Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Satish Kaushik -- sharing celluloid space in a single film, the outcome should have been clear. Yes, you should have been rolling in the aisles, because individually all three of them are stalwarts in the comic department.

The film revolves around the life of a don Mungilal (Anupam Kher) and his search for a waaris to lord over his empire. Mungilal was a small time bhai in Mumbai during seventies but after he fled Bombay due to police pressure, an illegal empire was built by him in Bangkok.

There are no amusing gags, no commendable performances; it’s just a large plate of ham and sleaze. Yet another movie about a don, this time called Mungi Lal (Anupam Kher) in search of an heir to his business. Two hours and many imposters later, we are as clueless as to the identity of the heir in question.

It's really sad that director Shashi Ranjan has assembled a talented star cast and is not able to handle their talents.

Shashi Ranjan's Dhoom Dadakka leaves you baffled at the end of it. And we don’t mean that in a good way! You don't expect earth shattering acting in movies like this and especially not from young guns that formed the main stay of the film.... but for acclaimed actors like Satish Shah and Anupam Kher to agree to do films like this it leaves you nothing but speechless.
