After seeing the film you realise that rumours about Madhuri not liking the film are just that, rumours. No actress could have asked for a better comeback vehicle than Aaja Nachle...

The movie starts off slow, with the first 15 minutes being dull but soon gathers momentum. The audition sequence is interesting and also comical at times. Post interval the pace slackens and tends to get over dramatic. Although director Anil Mehta's execution is good, the script lets him down. The characters in the movie, barring a few, don't make an impact...

Madhuri Dixit is not in her best of form, but she leaves her mark on the film. The years away from the camera have not dimmed her enthusiasm to perform and this can be seen from 'Take One'. Her dancing, as usual, is superb. But for me it is Akshaye Khanna in his cameo, and Konkona Sen Sharma who excel...

Aaja Nachle is a perfect example of how good actors can sometimes save a poor movie and make it watchable, at least once.

The first half was very engrossing. And that the script was in the safe hands of Jaideep Sahni was a comforting thought during the interval. "Even if it drops, it's not going to plummet to the bottom." And drop it does. The second half seemed rushed. The little nuances of characters that I admired in the beginning were all mish-mashed and lost by the end.

In a way one can call it a typical clichéd underdog story but the background of dance n theatre coupled with some realistic touches of our every day life is what sets it apart.

Aaja Nachle is a tragically half-baked film, bringing up questions and situations and interests, and then forgetting about them.

The film is efficient and gets you to smile. And if you are not terribly picky, it is a pleasant one time watch. If you are a Madhuri fan – this is in fact a good watch.

Sadly though, Aaja Nachle does not meet the ends in an appropriate way. The film is weak at its very root level – script. Thanks to a few good performances, the movie turns out to be an average time pass entertainer.

THE dhak-dhak diva returns, alas, minus the dhak-dhak . Surely, this was hardly a comeback vehicle for Bollywood's biggest female star, who once posed a challenge at the hustings to all the male superstars. Maybe, Madhuri thought this was `decent' enough, befitting her new status as suburban wife and mother.

Frankly, it's only Madhuri Dixit who lures you to the multiplex. But surely she deserved a far richer and above-average comeback. At best, she's passable like the rest of this siesta-inducing Aaja Snore kar le.

Aaja Nachle begins on a slow note but as the intermission approaches the movie picks up. The first half is entertaining in bits; the selection of members for the play is hilarious. The second half is average, and more than the execution it is the script that is filled with flaws.

Yes, Aaja Puck-le would be a more appropriate invitation card for the play this group puts up. And the film they've put together as well.

Madhuri is, well, Madhuri. The moves are as perfect as ever and the screen presence, tremendous. Though everyone in the cast (especially Konkona and Akshaye) does remarkably well, no one quite gets it as good as Madhuri. Ignore those age lines and you will only be happy that she’s back. Madhuri won’t disappoint. The film will.

So even if Aaja Nachle doesn't quite deliver on all its promises, go watch it because Madhuri Dixit is spectacular in it.

The movie consist too many subplots and supporting characters but none of them are powerful and significant enough to smoothly precede the movie. The movie could have easily turned into musical theater drama instead of commercial cinema. The movie seriously lacked the entertainment quotient, apart from the title song and climax musical drama hardly there is any scene which you remember after the movie.

'Aaja Nachle' is nostalgia-ridden—not the most favoured ingredient of the entertainment seeking audience today.

Yes, the dancing diva is back in all her glory. Madhuri makes a good comeback with her trademark things like 1000 watt smile, backless choli and latka jhatkas. The film is certainly not that great but makes for decent enough viewing.
