The first half is merely, mindnumbingly boring, while the second gets exasperating. And it's all so inanely wasteful. There's nothing wrong with making a madcap comedy. Next time, though, a plot would be nice. This film doing well would just mean more brightly packaged idiocy will be shoved down our throats, and so I'm praying otherwise. All I can say is that it's stupid.

Finally, there is Abhishek Bachchan. Don't go by the outlandish clothes he wears or the Punjabi-thick lingo he speaks. The man is a rockstar of this faulty enterprise...

7 of 9 people found this review helpful The movie has been shot beautifully in London and Paris. The sets are extremely lavish and are a visual treat. The dances are choreographed excellently and look fantastic. The songs have been picturised well and are enticing to watch.

3 of 3 people found this review helpful Abhishek and Preity capture the entire limelight with their superb performances, inspite of a bad script. Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta are shifted in the shadows. Amitabh is okay in the one song that he does.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' is not a romantic drama. It is a musical comedy about two unlikely people falling in love with each other. The good thing is that the movie steers clear of any mushy sentimentality. Even in romance there is teasing and humour.

2 of 2 people found this review helpful Why does Abhishek order a roll at the airport and not touch it for two hours while it sits in front of him? Shaad's obsession for the Taj Mahal is very much on display again after Bunty Aur Babli...

'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' is not a film that takes itself too seriously and we recommend you don't either. Director Shaad Ali Sahgal is all out to have fun - his cast joins in and fortunately the end result is not anywhere as head splitting as his earlier film -- Bunty Aur Babli...

Abhishek Bachchan, reprising several similar roles that he has done in the past, walks away with the acting honours, while Bobby, let down by an awful role, rolls in at a distant second. As for the girls Preity and Lara, if they had paid as much attention to their performance as they did to their grooming, they'd have aced it. But they didn't.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom has a superhit soundtrack, it's sensationally choreographed and has excellent camerawork, but it's still a film with a plot that just doesn't work...

1 of 2 people found this review helpful Bobby and Lara have little to do while Mr Bachchan gets repetitive as the street singer who sings the same song and dances the same steps, again and again. The only thing that works is the music, another foot-thumping score from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The wafer thin storyline spoilt the whole movie. Performance wise Abishek gets the meaty role, while Bobby is bit sidelined with impotent dialogues. Though manages to display some of his comic timing.

The story was based on an incident that happened to Shaad. The filmmaker was waiting for his girlfriend at the Delhi airport when the flight got delayed. He then saw a beautiful woman and was in two minds whether he should talk to her. Then he started imagining that this girl might also have a boyfriend.

1 of 3 people found this review helpful Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is a light movie that doesn't try to be serious at all. When one ventures to watch it, they must remember that is a mindless and light film and treat it as such. The content is lacking, but it is made up for by the humorous performances by the cast...
