1 of 2 people found this review helpful Truthfully, when I went for this film, I had NO expectations. And maybe that's why it felt good when it did NOT live up to my expectations. It was definitely not mind blowing, something really pathbreaking or even fresh. I knew it to be a copy of Bruce Almighty...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The movie has a very dated feel overall. The sets, the songs and dances, the special effects don't look like they belong to the past 3-4 years of production. The special effects were a complete waste and most of it reserved for a shoddy, glitzy song. It'd have been so much better if the same money was spent on creatively creating the required effect on a set.

1 of 1 people found this review helpful But what is commendable is that director Rumi Jafry has pulled it off without making it look like you are seeing the entire English film for the second time. Salman Khan has done a great job and once again his comic timing with brother Sohail Khan is fantastic. Priyanka Chopra looks out of sorts in the film and her look is a let down...

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The film would have surely been a hit three years back but that doesn’t deny the possibility of another success story here. With Salman's huge fan following and a little help from 'God' this one may just prove right at the box office...

Salman Khan finally opens his mouth to say his dialogues and what a relief that is. He sets the tone for the movie to follow and with the introduction of Rocky (Sohail Khan) as the creative head of the channel Arun works in, things perk up...

A desi version of Bruce Almighty, the film does borrow heavily from the Jim Carrey venture as it traces the desperate attempts of harried TV anchor, Salman Khan to shed his 'loser' tag and counter the ill-luck that seems to follow him everywhere...

It's about Salman Khan wearing shirts more flowery than the Shalimar gardens. He also tries polka dots and frills. He's a TV host who cannot earn his bread, butter and gosht. So, he rants against god who gives him magic powers for 10 days.

'God Tussi Great Ho' is just another poor rehash that highlights the tragic lack of originality among Bollywood filmmakers. I bet if Rumi Jaffery is himself made to sit on the lie detecting chair (that Salman makes in the film) the director will fail with flying colours. And he might even blame the Almighty for it.

0 of 1 people found this review helpful The first half is spent in telling us about the failures of our hero Arun and how he gets the power of God. After all this, you expect a good second half but it disappoints. The pace is slow and the songs in the later half are bad! A few scenes between Salman Khan and Anupam Kher are good...

Rumi Jafry was good as a storywriter for the 90s audience. But he needs to develop his scripting abilities for the intelligent audience. His earlier films also had good enough directors to pull them off. Rumi fails as a director. This one is best avoided.

Arguably one of the most botched-up comedies in recent times, God Tussi Great Ho takes us into territory that the Khan brothers - Salman and Soahil - have been together in David Dhawan's Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya...

1 of 1 people found this review helpful God Tussi Great Ho is like one of those 80s comedies that's too loud and too contrived. It's the kind of film in which actors yell out lines instead of delivering dialogues. The film comes crashing down also because Salman Khan just sleepwalks through his scenes once again...
