"Jaane Tu… has been a ride back to college" - Genelia Dsouza

There is saying that 'A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around'. Who can know this better than the vivacious Genelia Dsouza, whose cute smile simply makes anyone go crouch on their knees. She is the same girl who has indeed taken the moviegoers by storm with her latest release Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na opposite Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan. Genelia is also the recipient of the prestigious Filmfare Award for the Best Actress for the Telugu film Bommarillu. She had a real blast on Bollywood Hungama's 'Celebrity Chat'. And for those who missed this fun, here are the excerpts:
Genelia Dsouza: Hi Friends...This is Genelia here.
Deba: hi gene how r u?
Genelia Dsouza: Deba, i am doing well.
NIRMA: hi, how r u? How was ur working exp with Imran Khan?
Genelia Dsouza: Nirma, the exp was really fantastic. I felt like an absolute Jai and Aditi pairing (the name of our characters in the film) . Imran is sum1 who has no airs, extremely hard wrking and a pleasure 2 b cast opposite him!
Fahiz: Hiya..Gene...Pappu Cant Dance is superb track, what is ur fav track in the movie?
Genelia Dsouza: fahiz, mine is Aditi, without a doubt.
NIRMA: i like ur name, what is the meaning of it?
Genelia Dsouza: Nirma, its actually a combination of my Mom and da's name , that's Jeanette and Neil and my Mom wud always say that I wud always be there and unique . I just took that as a meaning for my name as well.

NIRMA: r u comfortable working in Bollywood then south? How was ur experience at both the places?
Genelia Dsouza: Nirma, its films that I enjoy the most and I had a gr8 time working in the south and I am so glad that the same holds for Bollywood too.

NIRMA: u r one of the fittest actresses in tollywood, what is the secret behind it?
Genelia Dsouza: NIrma, I guess that I am plain lucky coz'I hardly wrk out. But I was an athlete and I am guessing that it was all that I did then is holding for me now.
Deba: so working with co star like Imran n Akshay ...whom u think is the best?
Genelia Dsouza: Deba, I didn't find the need 2 compare them ever. And I dnt think thats its even fair too. Both have their own identities. And it was a blast working with both of them.
Fahiz: Hya Genelia how are you? Any pranks were played on the set?
Genelia Dsouza: fahiz, I really dnt remember any pranks as such on the sets. But jaane Tu has been a ride back in college. So, there were couples of laughs here and there, but nothing of a prank that comes to my mind as such.

Genelia Dsouza: Sid, I am doing a film with Harman called 'Its My Life' (tentatively named) .
Pawan: hai hasini :-) . . How did u feel while doing Bommarillu . . ?
Genelia Dsouza: Pawan, while doing Haasini , all that I felt was that I wanted her 2 b my role model for the rest of my life.
Jack: Hi Haasini (Genelia) what made u sign this film?
Genelia Dsouza: Hi jack, well... the initial excitement definitely came from the fact that I was being called from an Aamir Khan banner but eventually the real hero is the script. And that's what excited me the most. And, then Aamir Khan banner only seemed like I was in safe hands.

NIRMA: how many languages do you speak?
Genelia Dsouza: Tushar, not at all. It was just a matter of getting used to the language. But that's not difficult, if u put yr heart into it.
NIRMA: what r ur expectations of the film?
Genelia Dsouza: Nirma, as of now, I don't even want to get in2 the trap of expectations. But I am definitely anxious, curious and a little nervous.

Sahilt: Hello... I actually agree with the comment given by Indiafm on u...God cannot be everywhere, hence He created Mothers. Angels cannot be everywhere, hence He created Genelia Dsouza and i am so lucky that i m actually chatting with An angel..wish success ahead.

NIRMA: what is one big difference u noticed between Tollywood and Bollywood?
Genelia Dsouza: Nirma, honestly, I am yet to see a difference between the 2 industries. But if u ask me abt similarities, I wud say that both have a fantastic working atmosphere as well as both are highly professional.
Deba: what u think about Love Story 2050 which is also releasing on same day?
Genelia Dsouza: deba, I am an actor, I dnt need to think anything other than my film's release. That's my excitement level
Pawan: what transition have u observed over the years in ur career?
Genelia Dsouza: Pawan, 1stly, coming from a zone were acting was never a career option and films was simply a past time. Today, acting seems like the only option and films seem like my entire life.
Sahil: Ok, tell me frankly who do u think is the best Indra Kumar, Priyadarshan or Aamir Khan?
Genelia Dsouza: sahil, well I just feel on top of the world and hope that i really live up2 that compliment.

Genelia Dsouza: Brijal, I guess it differs with my mood. But I generally like music thats easy on me.
