Hear the word Bluffmaster and you have an idea of what the film has to offer. But ask the director and he'll tell you that it wasn't exactly all fun and games. Let's rewind to May 2005. Abhishek Bachchan had already been signed on by Rohan Sippy for the role of Dittu who is a sidekick to the character of Roy. Though the character of Dittu is a bit bird brained, he is lovable at the same time.

It is a known fact that actor Sanjay Dutt was signed on, originally for the role of Roy. However, Mr. Abhishek Bachchan was about to change the entire course of the film! It happened so that Rohan Sippy received an urgent call from Abhishek in May 2005. And what he was about to declare was that his schedule for Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna had been moved from May to September 2005. So Rohan was left with a choice of either starting the film asap or push the shooting beyond mid 2006. This dynamic director opted for the former and it was decided that the film would release by December 2005. Since, the dates were completely juggled and given Abhishek's newfound popularity he was given the role of the suave Roy whereas, Riteish was brought in to play Dittu. The role of Simmi, which was earlier to be essayed by Aishwarya Rai was given to Priyanka Chopra. Nana Patekar and Boman Irani were also brought on board and the shooting began, without wasting any time!

As a welcome change, this film was to be shot entirely in Mumbai as opposed to the usual European locations. It was a complete challenge as the monsoons were going on and the crowds, changing weather and the rains were always an issue. Add to that the floods in Mumbai, due to which the shooting was delayed considerably. But as Rohan puts it, their loss of time is nothing compared to what Mumbai lost in that one week.

Being the task master that he is, Rohan managed to complete the film against all odds. And he managed an even bigger feat by getting the film ready by December. So now if you think everything was hunky dory, it wasn't. Well, no cause for worry, for harder the climb, sweeter the success!
